REDUCE SINGLE-USE PLASTIC

OUR TIAKI PROMISE
We are committed to upholding our Tiaki Promise, a Tourism New Zealand initiative to care for our country, its people, places, and culture. We actively remind guests of the following:
-

Protect Nature
New Zealand’s nature is precious and many of our native species are endangered or at risk. Remember to care for land, sea, and nature on your travels.
-

Keep NZ Clean
Kiwis are proud of this beautiful country and expect you to dispose of their litter and waste responsibly, even in remote areas.
-

Be Prepared
Exploring New Zealand’s great outdoors can be very different to what you might have experienced in other places. If you are leaving urban areas, making adequate preparations can help you get the most out of your trip and keep yourself safe.
-

Drive Carefully
New Zealand has some of the most amazing scenic drives in the world, but our roads can be challenging at times. Drive carefully to keep yourself and others safe on the road.
-

Show Respect
Travel with an open heart and mind. By taking the opportunity to understand our culture and respect our customs, you’ll have a positive impact on the communities you visit. In return, the people of Aotearoa New Zealand will leave a lasting impact on you.
SUPPORTING LOCAL & SUSTAINABLE PRODUCERS
Henry & Gray
Henry & Gray uses a traffic light system to help us track our sustainability efforts when it comes to the attire of our team members. We receive regular reports outlining whether recyclable materials are being used in the creation of our garments and packaging (e.g. organic cotton, recycled polyester, sustainable and eco-friendly packaging). The reports also confirm whether the factory holds full accreditation for environmental and labour conditions and has provided all current and valid documentation.
